Job Description

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Reservations Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by managing bookings, providing information about our hotel services, and maximizing revenue through effective sales techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming reservations via phone, email, and online booking systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide detailed information about hotel accommodations, rates, packages, and special offers to potential guests
  • Utilize up-selling techniques to maximize room revenue and promote hotel services
  • Enter and maintain reservation data in the property management system (PMS) with a high level of accuracy
  • Follow up on guest requests and inquiries within 24 hours of receipt
  • Assist with group bookings and manage allotments as directed by management
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences from reservation to check-out
  • Monitor and update hotel availability to optimize occupancy rates
  • Prepare daily reports on reservations, cancellations, and modifications
  • Maintain knowledge of local attractions and events to assist guests with inquiries
  • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new offerings and reservation techniques

Qualifications

  • Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, or 6 months of experience in reservations or front office operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and property management systems (e.g., OPERA)
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with guests, employees, and third parties
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and information management
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices
  • Demonstrated sales skills and ability to up-sell hotel services
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
