Role Summary
As the Manager Acquisition, you will lead the strategic growth of our vendor network, driving the onboarding of new partners to expand our platform's footprint. You will play a crucial role in scaling our operations and ensuring a diverse and high-quality selection for our customers.
What’s On Your Plate?
- Lead and motivate the Acquisition team to meet and exceed targets.
- Develop and implement team strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching.
- Drive the acquisition of new restaurant partners through strategic planning and execution.
- Identify and target potential partners that align with company objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop innovative acquisition strategies to expand the company's market share.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the restaurant industry.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
- Continuously assess and improve acquisition processes and methodologies.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and account management teams to ensure cohesive business operations.
- Coordinate with other departments to align acquisition strategies with overall business goals.
- Regularly report on team performance, market insights, and acquisition progress.
- Expected to efficiently handle additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Responsible for onboarding restaurants, groceries, and specialty stores to ensure a comprehensive and diverse vendor portfolio.
- Responsible for expanding the current geography and onboarding vendors from different zones and cities.
Secondary Tasks:
- Assist in developing training materials and programs for new team members.
- Conduct workshops or sessions to enhance team skills in sales, negotiation, and market analysis.
- Participate in market research activities to gather insights about emerging trends, customer preferences, and new market opportunities.
- Collaborate with the research team to refine data collection and analysis methods.
- Work with the marketing team to create compelling sales and promotional materials.
- Ensure that the content is aligned with current market trends and the company’s value proposition.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will be:
- 5–6 years of experience in sales or acquisition, with experience in a team-lead or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a field-sales environment, ideally in F&B, delivery, FMCG, or tech.
- Strong people management skills — able to inspire, train, and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Analytical mindset with comfort using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), dashboards, and reporting systems.
