Role Overview
- Position: Consultant / Specialist Pediatrician
- Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Healthcare Setting: Multispecialty hospital pediatric department
- Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
- Practice Model: Outpatient and inpatient pediatric care with access to neonatal and specialist support
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive pediatric medical care, focusing on child health, disease prevention, growth monitoring, and management of acute and chronic childhood illnesses.
Key Responsibilities – Pediatrics
- Provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Conduct routine pediatric examinations, growth monitoring, and developmental assessments
- Manage common pediatric illnesses, including respiratory infections, gastrointestinal conditions, allergies, and childhood infections
- Deliver preventive healthcare services, including vaccination programs and health education for parents and caregivers
- Diagnose and manage pediatric emergencies and acute illnesses requiring immediate medical attention
- Monitor growth, nutritional status, and developmental milestones to ensure healthy child development
- Provide guidance on child nutrition, behavioural health, and developmental concerns
- Coordinate care with pediatric subspecialists, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams when advanced care is required
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and pediatric health initiatives
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based pediatric care protocols and patient safety standards
