Job Description
VAM Systems is currently looking for a Network Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms and conditions.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in BIS, Computer Science or equivalent
- Specialized certification in Cisco CCNA, CCNP, AWS Networks, Fortinet or equivalent for networking Routing and Switching, Firewalls and Cloud technology
- Work experience in network support and security field of at least 2 years
- Experience in configuring network firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain network firewalls, switches, routers, and load balancers
- Troubleshoot network issues with different teams, entities, ISP, and vendors
- Work on vulnerability security patching by performing node firmware upgrade planning and execution
- Conduct security configuration hardening
- Coordinate with ISP and vendors for network issue resolution

Role SummaryThe Logistics Integrity team protects talabat's rider marketplace by detecting, preventing and reducing rider fraud and misconduct at scale across our eight markets in the Middle East. As we continue to expand our regulatory and operational footprint, we are establishing a Bahrain Air Operator Certificate (AOC) under the Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs (BCAA). We are seeking a Nominated Postholder Safety & Compliance (NPSM) to play a key role in the certification, launch and ongoing oversight of our Bahrain operation, based in Manama.Position OverviewThe Nominated Postholder Safety & Compliance Monitoring is appointed by, and reports to, the Accountable Manager, and combines the Quality Manager / Quality Assurance nominated-postholder function under ANTR OPS 1.035 and ANTR OPS 1.175 with the Post Holder SMS function under ANTR OPS 1.037 and ANTR Volume III, Part 19. The successful candidate must be formally nominated to and accepted by BCAA.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the organisation remains in compliance with the applicable Bahrain Air Navigation Technical Regulations (ANTR) and BCAA requirements and monitor the identification and correction of adverse compliance and operational trends across the AOC.Own and administer the Safety Management System (SMS), leading hazard identification, risk management, safety assurance and a just reporting culture.Establish and manage the independent Compliance Monitoring function, plan and conduct the audit and inspection programme, and ensure findings are followed up and closed in a timely manner.Manage safety performance indicators, safety promotion and the reporting system, and provide the Accountable Manager with independent oversight of operations, ground and continuing-airworthiness activities.Prepare and present safety and compliance data to the Safety Review Board (SRB) and support the Accountable Manager in chairing it.Establish and issue the Management System / Safety and Compliance Monitoring manuals, and interface with BCAA on safety, audit and compliance matters.Mandatory RequirementsThorough knowledge of the AOC holder's safety management and compliance monitoring concept (Bahrain ANTR OPS 1 and associated BCAA guidance).At least 5 years' relevant work experience, of which at least 2 years in the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position.Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable Bahrain ANTR and BCAA requirements, the AOC holder's operations and its management/compliance system.Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards, safe operating practices and audit techniques.Must be acceptable to BCAA following formal assessment.Desirable QualificationsRecognised safety-management and/or auditor qualification and SMS implementation experience.Experience standing up a Management System / Compliance Monitoring function in a new-AOC or multi-fleet environment.Fluent English; Arabic and regional market experience advantageous.What We OfferA competitive package with relocation support where applicable.The opportunity to build a premium airline certificate from the ground up as part of a fast-growing multi-AOC group.
