Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Manager - Bids to join our organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will lead the end-to-end bid management process, overseeing proposal development, tender evaluation, and contract negotiation. You will work collaboratively across departments to ensure competitive and compliant bids that drive business growth and secure high-value opportunities. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business development strategy while mentoring and supporting a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end bid management process, overseeing proposal development, tender evaluation, and contract negotiation
- Interface with business line growth team and operations to support the process of winning work
- Lead responses to client RFI/RFQ/RFPs and apply standard pursuit processes to ensure efficiency in schedule and bid compliance
- Responsible for print, electronic and oral proposal deliverables
- Provide market research and competitive intelligence and leverage data systems and tools to support proposal strategy
- Lead large/complex proposals involving multiple business lines and regions, supporting from capture through to interview stage
- Facilitate workshops and sessions to support the capture manager in development of the win strategy
- Serve as coach for interview, Q&A and preparing team
- Facilitate color reviews (Pink and Red team) and apply lessons learned to add value to proposal and win plan
- Participate actively in Go/No-Go decisions by providing recommendations and may facilitate greenlight analyses
- Analyze internal debriefs and client feedback on proposals to ensure continuous improvement
- Serve as subject matter expert for specific client, portfolio, or sector
- Support marketing or pursuit strategy and content development related to clients and markets
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal training content and lead special projects
- Manage and mentor direct reports as required
- Responsible for results of proposal activity
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in bid management, proposal development, business development, or related roles
- Proven expertise in managing complex tenders, RFP processes, and large-scale pursuits
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to create professional proposals and financial models
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
