Role Overview

The Experience Designer plays an essential role in the growth of the Experience Design department. They will draw together client, business and customer/end-user requirements, within an understanding of the technical delivery environment, to develop a blueprint for the solution. They are the user-centered glue that binds together business, creative, and technology into a harmonious collaboration—facilitating design workshops, working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver award-winning, impactful work.

Role Requirements
- Apply solid user experience and usability principles while looking for opportunities to innovate
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of all aspects of the UCD approach and the ability to apply them flexibly across a variety of project types
- Able to contribute at a high level to the overall strategic client approach, taking into account relevant marketplace, consumer and technology factors--and a keen interest in growing within more strategic & CX-focused disciplines
- Able to use/introduce more advanced UCD techniques (rapid prototyping, remote testing etc.) to improve efficiency in the user experience process and the quality of the solution
- Able to develop solutions for a wide variety of touchpoints, platforms and devices including mobile, web, kiosk, social, physical, etc.
- Lead User Experience work streams on large-scale and complex projects
- Promote collaborative work practices, and identify opportunities to improve quality and increase efficiency through collaborative design
- Demonstrate cross-functional understanding; clearly articulate purpose and value of other disciplines within Strategic Services, identifying when their input is needed
- Collaborate with the client and with various teams within AKQA. Ability to lead workshops and manage mid to senior stakeholders. Experience of nurturing client relationships
- Provide support, guidance and mentoring to junior members of the User Experience Team
- Take an active role in new business pitches where appropriate
Qualities and Characteristics
- Embrace challenges and inspire new ways of thinking
- Expertise in understanding digital behaviours, cultural expectations and social networking (preferred experience with Asia or luxury industries)
- Fluent in English with a strong command of the language, both written and spoken
- A compelling portfolio of unique work that spans mediums, including: mobile applications, responsive web, product & service design.
- Wide breadth of experience in your portfolio demonstrating skills across Research, Strategy, IA, Design and Testing. Experience with ethnographic research, ecosystem design, information architecture, and user testing and experience with innovation processes including Design Thinking workshops, Google Design Sprints, Business Model and/or Value Proposition canvas
- Expertise with prototyping tools such; along with design tools such as Sketch & Figma.

Staff Security Engineer, AI & Application Security

About the RoleThe Staff Security Engineer, AI & Application Security is the first and only dedicated security engineering hire at Marcura, and is accountable for establishing the company's security engineering capability end to end. Because this is currently the single role focused wholly on security, the mandate is deliberately broad and deliberately hands on: it spans offensive assurance, defensive engineering, secure architecture and technical governance across applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure and the group's growing and varied estate of large language models — commercial APIs, hosted models, and internally integrated AI features.Role PurposeThe role exists to give Marcura an independent, evidence based and continuously improving view of its technical risk, and to make secure delivery the default rather than an afterthought. The role holder personally executes penetration testing and AI red team exercises, designs and hardens defensive controls, reviews architecture early in the delivery lifecycle, defines secure by design patterns for LLM and agentic systems, and acts as trusted advisor to product, engineering, data and operations teams adopting AI.Operating ModelThe role operates within a hybrid model: Marcura retains eSentire as its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) partner and commissions independent external penetration testing, so the role holder is not expected to build a security operations centre or to be the sole source of assurance. Instead, the role holder owns these partnerships technically — directing them, tuning and validating their output, closing the gaps they do not cover, and ensuring internal and external testing are complementary rather than duplicative.Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Strategy, Roadmap and Prioritisation: Define and maintain a prioritised security roadmap for Marcura in order to ensure that finite capacity in a single security headcount is spent on the highest material risk, by assessing the current posture, setting a small number of clear objectives per period, making explicit decisions on what is done in house versus deferred or delivered via external partners, and building the evidence based case for further investment.Secure Architecture and Design Review: Review the architecture and design of new and changing systems in order to prevent security weaknesses being built in rather than discovered later, by embedding lightweight threat modelling into the delivery lifecycle, defining reusable secure design patterns, and giving teams timely, pragmatic decisions rather than blocking gates.AI and LLM Security Advisory: Act as the group's trusted AI security advisor in order to enable fast, safe adoption of AI across the business, by engaging early in design, defining secure by design patterns for LLM, RAG and agentic systems, and giving teams clear, proportionate guidance rather than blanket restrictions.AI Security Framework and Standards: Build and maintain a practical AI security framework and set of engineering standards in order to make secure AI deployment repeatable and auditable as the estate grows, by aligning to OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS and NIST AI RMF and translating them into concrete controls, checklists and acceptance criteria, and by maintaining a live inventory of deployed models and their controls.Internal Penetration Testing Programme: Establish and personally run Marcura's internal penetration testing capability in order to provide continuous, in depth assurance between and beyond scheduled external tests, by defining scope, methodology, tooling, reporting standards and a prioritised testing calendar covering applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure and internal systems.Ideal Candidate Profile8+ years of hands-on security engineering experienceDemonstrated expertise in penetration testing and red team operationsDeep knowledge of AI/LLM security risks including prompt injection, model manipulation, and agentic system vulnerabilitiesStrong understanding of OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS, and NIST AI RMF frameworksExperience with cloud security across major providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)Ability to operate independently as the sole security hire while building external partnershipsExcellent communication skills to advise engineering, product, data and operations teamsStrategic mindset balanced with deep technical execution capability
