Job Description

About the Role

  • Facilitate the implementation of internal and external training programmes in accordance with training matrix and annual Training Plan for the airport.
  • This includes but is not limited to liaising with various international and local training providers, managing contracts and/or other legal purchase orders, monitoring and reporting on cost performance and handling overall end-to-end procurement process.
  • Additionally, the role involves a delivery of internal training programmes for HIA employees as well as a co-design of a training content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the business on the implementation plan of external training programmes to ensure timely delivery and adherence to requirements.
  • Perform benchmarking of training courses to facilitate end-to-end procurement and ensure optimal offering.
  • Manage purchase orders and/or training contracts against business requirements to meet scope and budgetary aspects.
  • Evaluate external training course costs and assess/process training bonds in compliance with policy.
  • Responsible for all scheduling and logistical activities for external courses, including nominations, communication, verification, and enrolment.
  • Ensure all post-training activities for external courses are processed and completed according to company policies (e.g., assessing invoices, reviewing certificates).
  • Collate, evaluate, and measure data on third-party suppliers’ learning and training interventions to ensure compliance with objectives.
  • Capture and analyze data from learning and talent development events to support evaluation at various levels.
  • Support in organizing internal, external, and special training programmes (rotations, familiarizations, internships, community service), including co-designing structure and managing logistics.
  • Assist in designing training materials and digital eLearning courses (e.g., Ramadan awareness, Welcome to Qatar).
  • Deliver various training programmes using adult-learning approaches to ensure professional, high standards.
  • Act as the focal point for coordination with subsidiaries and deliver on-the-job training related to HR/Learning systems (GEMS, My Path, Oracle, e-Sourcing).
  • Plan and organize regular refresher training to reinforce skills and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Research and source learning options and channels for managers and employees.
  • Contribute to planning, preparations, and implementation of employee engagement programmes (sport events, team building, newsletters, surveys).
  • Perform other department duties as directed.
