We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with specific expertise in working within a design office environment and preparing Engineering Progress and Performance Reports (EPPR). The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing comprehensive project schedules, monitoring project progress, and ensuring the timely and efficient completion of engineering projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Establish project timelines, milestones, and critical paths.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain EPPRs, highlighting project progress, performance metrics, key issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying variances from the plan and recommending corrective actions.
  • Generate periodic progress reports, including S-curves, Gantt charts, and other project control tools.
  • Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on schedules and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • PMP or other relevant certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Extensive experience working in a design office environment.
  • Proven experience in preparing Engineering Progress and Performance Reports (EPPR).
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other project management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
