BAE Systems is seeking a qualified and experienced QA Inspector specializing in metrology calibration to join our team in Dhahran. As a QA Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our metrology and calibration processes. Your Role as a QA Inspector specializing in Metrology Calibration
The primary responsibility of the QA Inspector is to ensure that all metrology and calibration activities are performed according to established standards and procedures. This includes inspecting incoming TMDE, auditing outgoing production, and monitoring technician quality levels.
- Inspect incoming TMDE for damage or deficiency.
- Audit outgoing production for correct certification, documentation, safety, packaging, and appearance.
- Monitor technician quality levels by means of quality verification inspections (QVI’s).
- Perform over the shoulder (OTS) evaluations to verify processes and procedures are valid and current.
- Monitor the environmental conditions where calibration activity is being performed.
- Function as the focal point to coordinate and progress building maintenance activities.
- Prepare audit and discrepancy reports relating to MetCal activity.
- Assist with the administration of the Technical Library.
- Submit recommendations to MetCal management to improve organization, resources, or operational procedures.
Ensuring Quality through Metrology Calibration
As a QA Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring technician quality levels through Quality Verification Inspections (QVI’s) and performing Over the Shoulder (OTS) evaluations. Your attention to detail is crucial for maintaining the highest standards.
Requirements for the QA Inspector Role
- Successfully completed a formal training course directed towards the calibration, repair, and alignment of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
- Extensive practical experience as a Calibration Technician, Calibration Supervisor, Calibration Instructor, or Calibration Quality Assurance Inspector.
- Fully conversant with the requirements of RSAF Instruction 4-7702, RSAF Metrology Program, and RSAF Safety Manuals 78-(series).
- Educated to at least Ordinary National Certificate level or equivalent, or have significant work experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Understanding of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025.
