QA Inspector: Ensuring Quality Through Metrology Calibration
As a QA Inspector specializing in Metrology Calibration, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming TMDE, auditing outgoing production, and monitoring technician quality levels. You will also serve as a focal point for coordinating building maintenance activities and preparing audit reports.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting incoming TMDE for damage or deficiency.
- Auditing outgoing production for correct certification, documentation, safety, packaging, and appearance.
- Monitoring technician quality levels through quality verification inspections (QVI's).
- Performing over-the-shoulder (OTS) evaluations to verify processes and procedures.
- Monitoring environmental conditions where calibration activity is performed.
- Coordinating and progressing building maintenance activities.
- Preparing audit and discrepancy reports relating to MetCal activity.
- Assisting with the administration of the Technical Library.
- Submitting recommendations to MetCal management for improvement.

Qualifications for the QA Inspector Role
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Successful completion of a formal training course in calibration, repair, and alignment of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
- Extensive practical experience as a Calibration Technician, Supervisor, Instructor, or QA Inspector.
- Full conversance with RSAF Instruction 4-7702, RSAF Metrology Program, and RSAF Safety Manuals.
- Education to at least Ordinary National Certificate level or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
An understanding of ISOIIEC 17025 is highly desirable.
