BAE Systems is seeking a dedicated QA Inspector specializing in Metrology Calibration to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance at our Dhahran facility. QA Inspector Role: Metrology Calibration Focus
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that the activities of technical and support staff assigned to the Secondary Calibration Squadron, KAAB (King Abdul Aziz Airbase) Dhahran, are performed in accordance with RSAF Instruction 4-7702. This position is vital for verifying adherence to appropriate regulations during incoming and outgoing inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming TMDE for damage or deficiency.
- Audit outgoing production for correct certification, documentation, safety, packaging, and appearance.
- Monitor technician quality levels through quality verification inspections (QVI’s).
- Perform over-the-shoulder (OTS) evaluations to verify processes and procedures are valid and current.
- Monitor environmental conditions where calibration activity is being performed.
- Coordinate building maintenance activities.
- Prepare audit and discrepancy reports relating to MetCal activity.
- Assist with the administration of the Technical Library.
- Submit recommendations to MetCal management to improve organization, resources, or operational procedures.
Essential Skills for a QA Inspector in Metrology Calibration
To excel in this QA Inspector role, you must possess a strong understanding of Metrology Calibration principles and practices. Your ability to compile detailed reports, communicate effectively, and maintain high standards of personal integrity are crucial for success.
Qualifications:
- Successfully completed a formal training course directed towards the calibration, repair, and alignment of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
- Extensive practical experience as a Calibration Technician, Calibration Supervisor, Calibration Instructor, or Calibration Quality Assurance Inspector.
- Fully conversant with the requirements of RSAF Instruction 4-7702, RSAF Metrology Program, and RSAF Safety Manuals 78-(series).
- Educated to at least Ordinary National Certificate level or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software applications.
