Job Description

About Us

Oryx Ltd. has a global investment mandate spanning private equity, venture capital, public markets, real estate, and alternative investments. The group’s primary focus is the USA and the GCC, with additional exposure across the UK, Europe, and select global markets. It operates through specialist subsidiaries and takes a principal-led, long-term approach to building and managing assets.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Partner and working day to day with the IT Manager, the Junior IT Support owns hands-on device support and onboarding/offboarding logistics across the Oryx organization. You prepare and configure laptops, phones, IT accounts, and application access for new joiners — including urgent, on-the-spot cases — and provide day-to-day hardware and software support across Windows, Apple, and Android devices.

This is a permanent role created to remove a recurring operational bottleneck: it frees senior IT to stay focused on infrastructure, governance, automation, and AI work. It is an excellent fit for a capable, self-driven fresh graduate or intern-level candidate who wants real ownership from day one and a structured path into systems administration.

Success looks like new joiners fully set up on day one — device, accounts, and access ready; urgent requests handled calmly on the spot; accurate device and stock records; and senior IT rarely interrupted for device-level work.

Key Responsibilities

Device Setup & Support

  • Set up and configure Windows OS and business applications for staff across the group
  • Support Apple (macOS/iOS) and Android devices — configuration, updates, and troubleshooting
  • Provide hardware support and troubleshooting for laptops, desktops, phones, and peripherals

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Prepare laptops, phones, IT accounts, application access, and device configurations for new joiners — including urgent hiring cases
  • Execute onboarding and offboarding setups end to end, including urgent/on-the-spot cases
  • Coordinate with HR on new joiner and leaver timelines

IT Supplies, Procurement & Stock

  • Coordinate with the IT Manager on IT supplies, PRs/POs, documents, and stock
  • Maintain accurate records of devices, accounts, and IT stock and asset inventory

Reporting & Escalation

  • Escalate complex infrastructure or access issues to the IT Manager and document resolutions
  • Track assigned work and report status on Asana
  • Carry out any other tasks as required by management

Requirements

Essential

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering — fresh graduates and intern-level candidates welcome
  • Device skills: Confident hands-on setup of Windows, macOS, and Android devices
  • Troubleshooting: Hardware troubleshooting with a methodical, reasoned approach — able to explain why a fix works, not just what to click
  • Independence: A self-sufficient, independent operator who owns a task end to end — be ready to give concrete examples
  • Learning: A natural proclivity to learn and visible curiosity — evidence such as a home lab, self-pursued certifications, or side projects
  • English: Strong written and verbal English

We Will Train You On — growth areas, not filters

  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • Azure / Microsoft 365 administration
  • Basic integrations and SharePoint administration

Preferred — aptitude matters more than credentials

  • AI tools familiarity is a strong plus — ChatGPT, Claude, or similar
  • Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft fundamentals
  • Arabic language skills — working knowledge for end-user support

What We Offer

  • Real ownership from day one — you run device support and onboarding across the group
  • Structured training into Active Directory, Azure / Microsoft 365, and SharePoint administration
  • A modern tool sta...
