Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage the delivery of our client’s Ethics and Compliance Program.
- Responsible for delivering generalist and specialist compliance training group-wide in accordance with the annual compliance training plan.
- Undertake compliance related investigations as and when required.
- Engage in regular internal stakeholder management in accordance with the compliance engagement model.
- Conduct regular risk assessment and control testing of key compliance risks most likely to impact our client’s group of companies and divisions.
- Support business functions to remediate and mitigate identified compliance risks.
- Provide strategic compliance advice to our client’s international expansion program in compliance with international export control and sanctions regulations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders for all compliance related matters.
- Liaise with the ADX and Securities and Commissions Authority building a trusted relationship and co-operation.
- Assist with any compliance related matters, procedures, and processes, ensuring best practice is followed.
- Support the design and implementation of new tools and techniques to continuously improve the quality and delivery of Compliance services group wide.

- Regulatory Bodies (in particular ADX and Securities and Commissions Authority in UAE)
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- You will be professionally qualified in a well-known jurisdiction (such as but not exclusively, the UK/Australia/US) with a bachelor’s degree in law, or related field (master’s degree preferred). Minimum 10+ years PQE (minimum of 5 years within the Middle East).
- Minimum Experience:
- Have a proven track record with a listed company and dealings with applicable exchange regulators (the ADX and SCA very much a plus).
- You will be professionally certified in Compliance or Governance.
- Have a minimum 5+ years proven track record in compliance roles – in particular, experience with developing and implementing a compliance framework and program, training plan, communications plan, training log etc.
- Have a proven track record working with a listed company and dealings with applicable Exchange regulator (the ADX and SCA very much a plus).
- Have a strong knowledge of relevant compliance (sanctions and export control) laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Be able to demonstrate having operated at a senior level handling complex international and domestic region compliance matters.
- Proven experience in internal stakeholder management and engagement.
- Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills (English, with Arabic a plus).
- Be able to effectively plan and manage multiple projects and demanding workload.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe Professional
- Demonstrate knowledge working with restricted party screening and reporting.
