• A leading specialist position within the ANS Engineering team required to assist delivering an ATM service to meet KPI requirements.
• The maintenance of ATM Systems operational integrity, reliability and safety for use in a high capacity air traffic environment.
• Attention to customer requirements, regulatory requirements, customer service and operational availabity.
• Expertise regarding the regulatory, maintenance, technical and operational needs.
• Actions and decisions concerning the equipment maintenance and associated support activities impacting critically on system operational status and availability.
• Trouble shooting on the above equipment/systems.
• Calibration, configuration, training, planning, testing, reporting, recording, investigation, maintenance and data management.
• System integration and data fusion.
• Support and implementation of upgrades and modifications.
• Technical Engineering Degree or Higher Diploma in relevant discipline.
• Certified CNS apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Valid light vehicle driving license from country of origin (UAE driving license shall need to be acquired).
Will also be responsible to:
• Support of business continuity in a safety critical environment.
• In conjunction with the Senior Engineer, in conformance with SOP’s and relevant regulations and in relation to the above listing:-
• Lead the planning and implementation of all ATM Systems System(s) routine maintenance activities, fault reporting, analysis, configuration, record keeping, data management and budget planning.
• Financial responsibilities limited to operational efficiencies, setting budgetary requirements and maintaining budgetary constraints.
• Lead in the planning and implementation of any ATM Systems system(s) planned configuration changes software changes, upgrades, dataset changes, adaptations and modifications.
• The timely repair and return to service of the ATM Systems system following failure or malfunction events.
• Assist the ‘Engineering Training Manager’ (ETM) in the ATSEP based training/certification (classroom and OJT) of ANS Engineering staff in all aspects of the ATM Systems system(s) to meet unit and GCAA regulatory requirements for Engineering staff competency.
• Provide routine reports on ATM Systems system status and associated activities.
• Report directly to the Senior Engineer any issue or occurrence that will or may affect availability of CNS services. Advise Management on system evolutions and future planning
• Participate hands-on in Engineering support of all CNS systems within the responsibility of ANS Engineering.
• Report on resource and asset management status concerning the ATM Systems Systems.
• Provide CNS project support including specification creation, document reviews, attendance and oversight of Calibration, FAT & SAT and commissioning activities.
• Provision of high level technical support to immediate customers (e.g. ATS/AIS/MET).
• Asset management and equipment life planning.
• Production of periodic and special case Engineering reports.
• The operational status and availability of ATM Systemsand ancillary equipment.
• Comply with GAL Quality, HS&E and Safety Management Systems.
System data adaptation and configuration management.
System commissioning.
Demonstratable experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and/or installation of CNS airport systems (listed above).
Completed ATSEP Basic, Equipment and System competence or equivalent in relevant disciplines.
Eurocat experience an advantage.
