Job Description

  • Receive the material delivered by the suppliers based on the Purchase orders released by the Purchase department as per the laid down schedules.
  • Check the material for the correct quality, quantities, price and delivery date as per purchase order issued by Purchase.
  • Check all the materials for any defect/ spoilage during receiving process.
  • Check food for possible cross-contamination and temperature abuse.
  • Report any discrepancy in the supply like short supply, damage, different brand if any immediately to the supervisor.
  • Ensure to sign upon receiving on the invoice, check invoice with a raised purchase order for verification on quality and price.
  • Properly inputs received material into the computer system and forwards proper documentation to accounts payable.
  • Secure the receiving room and its contents, ensuring the safekeeping of packages.
  • Coordinate & assist Purchase, Stores, and F&B and as regards to day to day operation on short and non-delivered items.
  • Act as a good team player, especially with the kitchen department staff in checking the quality of the items.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members.
  • Ensure that the appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniform and appearance are maintained at all times.
  • To participate in any Training & Development sessions as recommended by supervisors.
  • Perform Other Duties as assigned.
