II. POSITION SUMMARY

 

The QAQC Mechanical Supervisor is responsible to ensure that all field construction and commissioning activities are performed in accordance with the provisions of the Construction Quality Plan and AP Engineering Requirements.

Travel might require for this position both short & long business trips as needed.

 

IV. DIMENSIONS:

 

  • Coordinating with site construction Mechanical Engineers & Contarctor MEP supervisory Engineers, Inspectors and relevant staff.

 

  • Multi- project Type: Saudi SEC projects, buildings etc.

 

 

 

V. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

An approved QAQC Mechanical Supervisor has the responsibility and commensurate authority to accomplish the following duties:

 

  • Reporting to the Site QAQC Manager.
  • Monitoring and implementation of QMS Procedures, PQP, ITP & method statements and reporting deviations from management system / contractual requirements of the projects.
  • Site Inspection to Verify that all necessary inspections and tests, as required of the project and statutory regulations, are carried out and appropriate records are updated and maintained.
  • Inspecting MEP systems during various stages of construction to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Conducting on-site inspections to verify that installations meet approved plans and specifications.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
  • Conducting final inspections to ensure MEP systems are functioning properly before occupancy.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to MEP systems.
  • .Ensuring that MEP Subcontractors provide and adhere to relevant Quality documentation/records.
  • Liaison with client representative concerning quality matters on site.
  • To be conversant with the company QHSE procedures & policies and ensure that all the people on the site observe and implement them.
  • Identifying near miss and nonconformities in materials, products, processes, procedures and reporting the near miss / nonconformities in the near miss / nonconformity report.
  • Verification of implementation of corrective & preventive actions against the nonconformities and reporting results to line managers.
  • Preparation of final quality dossiers and maintaining backups of completed quality dossiers.
  • Submitting weekly report and requested information / statistics to Department QAQC Manager.
  • Liaison with QAQC Manager for all aspects of quality.

 

This position is accountable for the following end results:

 

 

V.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Degree or Diploma, in an appropriate Engineering. Discipline.
  • shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of codes such as the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) codes Uniform Mechanical Code, NFPA 90A, ASHRAE Handbooks and/or equivalent standards.
  • Inspector shall demonstrate a thorough knowledge of codes such as the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), IPC, ASME 31.9, NFPA 13, 14, 20, 99, IBC, UFC and/or equivalent standards
  • Have experience of building equipment installation, piping and steelwork installation and associated trades e.g, insulation, painting etc.
  • 12 years of experience in Construction on industrial gases, oil & gas or related industry projects which should be construction site based.
  • 8 years in relevant inspection
  • Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
  • Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Excel
  • Report writing skills
  • Experience of working in a multicultural project team
  • Middle East project experience

Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Saudi Aramco /SEC approval.
