The role? 
 
The purpose of this job is to appoint a permanent person to perform technician level duties for EnerMech’s Process Pipeline & Umbilical services workshop and site operations e.g. pigging, hydro-testing, de-watering, drying, preservation, umbilical testing, Nitrogen-Helium leak testing, equipment maintenance, function testing, certification, lead-outs, mob/de-mob etc.
 
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
 
The roles & responsibilities of a Process, Pipeline & Umbilical services supervisor are:
 
Workshop Based:
 

  • Pre-mobilization rig-up / rig-down and function testing of equipment.
  • Equipment load-outs for mobilization / de-mobilization of equipment.
  • Participate in Toolbox talks.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance when required.
  • Equipment fault reporting.

 

Site Based:

  • Rig-up / Rig-down and function testing of equipment.
  • Preparatory works on client’s systems.
  • Participate in Toolbox talks.
  • Filling in equipment operational check lists.
  • Safe operation of EnerMech equipment on site.
  • Supporting the Project Supervisor in the smooth running of the project by reporting any equipment and other operational issues in an appropriate and timely manner.

 

Recognized Qualifications and Experience

  

 

Essential:

  • Basic secondary education
  • Relevant site based industry experience.
  • Previous experience in a Technician role.
  • Experience of working in an onshore / offshore oil and gas market.
  • Familiar with PPU generic equipment.
  • Able to read P&IDs / Isometric drawings etc. for one or more discipline.

 

Preferred:

  • College Diploma or higher.
  • Desire to increase technical and supervisory skills and move into a Project Supervisor role.
  • Offshore experience.
