The Munitions Specialist has responsibilities that may vary depending on the current mission and the needs of the department. Plans and schedules the maintenance of non-powered munitions support equipment, handling equipment and facility inspection requirements, Mandatory training, Equipment and OEL Items. Performs administrative duties as required for the Munitions Department. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).
Principal Accountabilities
- Conducts munitions inventory audits according to established quality processes, identifying potential problems and recommending problem-solving solutions to management on discrepancies identified.
- Oversees facilities, equipment, vehicle and munitions resource status, capabilities and limitations that may impact mission accomplishment.
- Primary Vehicle Control official for the Munitions Department Vehicle Fleet.
- Observes training and process all requirements for Munitions Employees to operate MHE equipment.
- Primary Training official for the Munitions Department training plans, to include but not limited to mandatory, reoccurring, off-site training and new hire orientation.
- Monitors Organization Equipment Lists (OEL) and Purchase/Requisition Forms.
- Manages full process of initiating correspondence, Purchase Requests and other Supply documents for the department and tracks status of equipment and supplies until delivered.
- Will act as a Alternate Controller as required.
- Performs other qualified duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have basic knowledge of the USAF Supply, TMO, Munitions and Tech Order systems or US service equivalent.
- Must have intermediate knowledge of munitions control and scheduling processes/procedures.
- Must have intermediate capability to adapt to stress and to speak in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
- May be required to operate material handling equipment.
- Must possess a valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation driver’s license.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have four years of experience with Military Munitions.
- Must not have been convicted of a Domestic Violence charge (Lautenberg Amendment compliance).
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
- Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.
- Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Must have normal color perception and depth of vision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred working knowledge of all munitions functional areas.
- Preferred intermediate knowledge of MC2 and other information systems.
- Preferred experience with USAF munitions storage, maintenance, control and inspection procedures.
- Preferred experience with TICMS, CAS, MC2, TMRS and IMDS for Munitions and MMHE.
