Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the overall positioning of Qatar airways Leadership and Learning offerings.
- Creates a vibrant and impactful learning environment that helps Qatar airways sustain a competitive edge by adapting to the changes in the global market. Promotes a learning culture across Qatar airways, valuing learning at all levels. Supports building a culture where leaders themselves lead learning both formally and informally.
- Leads, develops and executes Global Skills Frameworks, and content.
- Leads a best-in-class digital learning strategy and content creation to support Qatar airways demand.
- Partner with HRBP to provide strategic support in critical areas of non-technical employee development via performance consulting.
- Oversee the digital transformation of all GLD learning content from classroom training to a modularized remote learning methodology in order to reduce duty travel cost and improve learning transfer.
- Lead and manage Qatar Airways Learning Technology Stack, including LMS, and online learning platforms
- Communicate and offer integrated digital learning solutions for business owners in the areas of leadership and people development.
- Provide oversight of the design, development and implementation of all non-technical learning solutions. Act as the initial point of contact and escalation for all matters pertaining to non-technical employee performance development.
- Analyse, design, develop and implement digital learning pathways, in partnership with the business, which focus on managerial development in line with QR’s Skills Frameworks
- Accountable for the overall impact of the non-technical employee curriculums which include Leadership, management and soft skills development.
- Integrate HMM SPARK across QRG as the chosen tool for learner driven development in the areas of manager and leadership development
- Accountable for the management, development and performance of the Learning and Skills team.
- Educate the business on how together, we can develop our employees in a more effective manner by adopting a 70-20-10 approach concept.
- Encourage employees to take ownership of their own development by utilizing technology while adopting an anytime, anyplace learning culture.
- Provide input to ensure the quality of all non-technical learning solutions within GLD
- Co-facilitate learning interventions and facilitated meetings when required.
- Remain up-to-date with best practice learning strategies across the aviation industry.
- Establish the department or teams’ objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
- Regularly evaluate the learning and skills team’s objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
- Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Keep self and team updated on global L&D trends and promote a continuous learning culture across GLD and the wider QR Group

Qualifications
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Group Learning and Development Team who can recognize themselves in the points below.
- Minimum qualification of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is essential.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience designing and delivering Leadership Development programs is required.
- Should be able to lead, develop and execute Global Skills Frameworks at a strategic level
- Digital transformation experience (Taking a team/division from classroom learning dependency to digital, virtual space)
- Managing and leading complex, multifunctional, multicultural teams.
- Learning and Development experience and leadership.
- Performance driven, pro-active, and agile with changing priorities or high levels of ambiguity.
- Adept at analyzing Data, Data Driven Decision Making and dashboard creation
- Should have the commercial awareness including vendor management, and budgeting skills
- Ability to provide innovative, bespoke digital solutions dependent on current business priorities
- Consultation skills with the ability to communicate and offer advice at all levels.
- Design, develop and implement HiPo digital development programme
- Managerial skills – Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
- Ability to foster and maintain relationships with senior leaders.
- Ability to develop performance culture and teamwork.
- Should have excellent communication, negotiation and team management skills
