Job Purpose

Lead the execution of all maintenance support activities including the major complex tasks according to approved schedule and major jobs plan for Offshore Area to optimise the reliability and availability of assets.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

Serve as a technical resource, operating in a technical environment with interface and coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Major challenges of the role are: (1) ensure continuous availability and reliability of the Offshore Asset (North and South) through the effective implementation of the maintenance business process with inclusion and consideration of the financial and safety consequences of these systems. (2) effective supervision of all contractor personnel (@15-20 personnel at a time) during routine maintenance activities to be carried out at onshore workshop, logistic yard and other designated facilities to ensure safe execution of the activities (3) integrate & plan, co-ordination and implementation of all major offshore equipment maintenance requirements to meet the schedule requirement (4) regular and detailed high-quality communication with a diverse number of stakeholder requirements; (5) integrate Major Project SIMOPS activities to avoid base operations disruption.

The job operates from Operational office environment with periodic times spent in the plant/workshop/vendor’s works/offshore based on needs.

Key Job Accountabilities – I

Co-ordinate resolution of maintenance issues on day-to-day basis supporting Operations.

Lead and supervise the contractor personnel in execution of maintenance support activities for routine & major plant shutdowns activities for safe and optimized execution and performing quality checks of the activities carried out by Contractors. Effectively respond to Plant Emergencies by arranging the requisite resources through interviewing, selection, availability of resource and effectively supervise and complete the activities in minimum possible time with compliance of procedural requirement.

Ensure the safety performance and compliance of assigned team. Ensure maximum availability of assets and that all maintenance and modification works are undertaken in an efficient manner according to Company, international and safe engineering standards and practices.

Implement overall maintenance schedules, including preventive maintenance routines and major overhauls. Accountable for the Maintenance Performance of assigned area and compliance to agreed KPI’s.

Liaise with Workshop & Maintenance Services for equipment or part repairs and mobilization of specialized manpower, tools or lifting & handling means. Perform troubleshooting and seek assistance from Maintenance Support Engineers for complex or lengthy issues. Seek assistance from Maintenance Support Engineers for mobilization of specialized manpower.

Key Job Accountabilities – II

Ensure technical competency of engaged resources in the maintenance activities are available and identify any training needs if any. Ensure personnel development by proposing required skill development programs to management and comply with all the competency development requirement to meet with the criteria of overall competency development.

Review developed plans and identify areas of optimization especially for major complex jobs. Provide support to project department while implementing new projects/eMOC and ensure proper handover/completion as per company policy and procedure.

Participate in tendering programs for long term contracts and their effective implementation. Provide input for long term service agreements scope.

Ensure all resources are available for executing jobs within his area for all disciplines. Propose alternative method in resolving issues on maintenance Work.

Ensure accurate reporting of all maintenance interventions within the CMMS. Liaise with Planning and Reliability teams for the reporting and provides them with additional site information as required for reliability studies.

Qualifications

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering majoring in one of the core disciplines (i.e Mechanical, Instrument or Electrical).

Knowledge and/or Experience

8 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry or petrochemical industry out of which 3 years in maintenance supervisory/leadership role.

Technical and Business Skills

Computer literacy and fair knowledge in SAP maintenance and material management system.

Proficient in written and spoken English.

Experience in preparation and review of scope documents for maintenance activities and external service requirement.

Conversant with policy and procedure, standards and specifications of company, national and international bodies.

Adaptable to changing schedules within operating environment.
