The IT Support Engineer (ITSE) monitors and maintains the computer systems and networks of an organization. The ITSE may install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.
Depending on the size of the organization, ITSE’s role may span one or more areas of expertise.
Organizations increasingly rely on computer systems in all areas of their operations and decision-making processes. Therefore it is crucial to ensure the correct running and maintenance of the IT systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Apply technological solutions for the end users to improve the environment results & providing a productive technical support to ensure the business continuity and decreasing any service interruption to minimum.
- Handle work under pressure, respecting the concept of teamwork and co-operating with members of the team.
- Hard worker, fast learner and team work familiar.
- Strong background in project management, planning and design.
- Skilled at organizing complex projects, defining priorities, and delegating tasks.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to details.
- Can easily break a large project down into smaller pieces, prioritize goals, and work under short deadlines without sacrificing creativity.
- Quickly learn procedures and methods, can quickly learn new technologies.
- Microsoft applications (certification preferred)
- Apple applications (certification preferred)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT services.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in K-12 IT support. (preferred)
