Your new role, what’s involved?

 

HSE Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local regulations, international standards, and company HSE policies across all project activities.

Risk Assessment: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure proper safety procedures are being followed.

Incident Reporting: Promptly report any safety incidents, near misses, or environmental breaches to the project management team and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all HSE-related activities, inspections, incidents, and corrective measures taken.

Training and Awareness: Facilitate HSE training sessions for project personnel, subcontractors, and workers to enhance their understanding of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.

Emergency Preparedness: Assist in the development and testing of emergency response plans, ensuring that all workers are aware of evacuation procedures and first aid measures.

Safety Meetings: Organize regular safety meetings to discuss HSE performance, address concerns, and brainstorm strategies for continuous improvement.

Environmental Protection: Monitor construction activities to prevent and mitigate environmental impacts, ensuring compliance with regulations related to waste disposal, air quality, and noise levels.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ensure that all workers are equipped with the necessary PPE and enforce its proper usage across the site.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution

 

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

 

Education: A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Certifications: Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Inspector on construction projects, particularly in infrastructure.

Local Regulations: In-depth knowledge of local HSE regulations and standards applicable to construction projects in Jeddah.

Communication: Strong communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with diverse teams.

Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail in identifying potential hazards and evaluating safety procedures.

Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.

Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership qualities to promote a culture of safety and compliance among project personnel.
