The Contract Manager position will be responsible for all aspects of Contract Management. The incumbent will be responsible for limiting or removing the contractual risks and liabilities for JIGPC.
The position will be responsible for the development and ownership of the contract management system and tools required to ensure effective implementation of the contracts
The facility has multiple, very complex commercial agreements and five efficiency guarantees. It is expected that over the initial start-up and operation of the facility’s, the contracts will need to be adjusted as issues not considered during the deal phase become apparent
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage all contractual attributes of JIGPC with its client
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on critical contractual concerns and requirements by collaborating with the Commercial Director
- Interpret Terms & Conditions of various contract that JIGPC has with its client, and advise management on contractual rights and obligations
- Ensure that signed contracts requirements are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness
- Selectively engage JIGPC’s legal team on occasion when legal support is necessary
- Take necessary actions to ensure that contract waivers are obtained, and amendments made when appropriate
- Protect business interests by ensuring that the contractual disputes are resolved quickly and diligently
Manage the Design Notices
- Liaise with client & engage key internal functions such as Project Delivery, Engineering, Maintenance & Operations to ensure that JIGPC issues the Design Notices in strict adherence to the contract
- Conducting review of Design Notices or contractual disputes, and leading to their resolution

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering Degree
>20 years Contract & Engineering. Strong in application of stakeholder management principles, methodologies and tools.
Determined, adaptable and resilient. Able to lead teams to achieve success under significant pressure, evolving requirements, and conflicting priorities.
Culturally astute. Experience and ability to understand and adapt leadership and management style to different cultures associated with multi-region project execution, and to therefore achieve success with a multi-cultural team. Experience of Customer and external stakeholder regional cultures, and proven ability to achieve success with those cultures.
Relationship network. Ability to interface and communicate at all levels within the JIGPC organization and build collaborative stakeholder relationship to achieve project goals. Able to leverage those strong relationships to the benefit of the project.
Strong and articulate communicator. Able to adapt communication style to diverse internal and external audiences, and successfully communicate key messages and achieve desired influence.
Proven Leadership Skills. Track record of successful leading in a JV environment
Core competencies: Commercial and technical acumen, experience in handling Joint Venture relationships, consistently exercise good judgment and discretion at all times in matter of significance.
