Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Landscape – BIM Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to perform basic to difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide front line project specific support to design teams
  • Has a strong understanding of capacity and capability assessments for task teams (model production)
  • Can develop comprehensive training plans that cater to different learning styles and needs.
  • Provides support in using CDE systems like ProjectWise and ACC.
  • Capable of creating detailed training manuals and tutorial videos for software like Civil 3D, Revit, etc.
  • Has the ability to create landscape BIM model and drawings within Revit/ Civil 3D to fulfill client requirement from LOD 100-LOD 350.
  • Has experience in Clash Detection process using Navisworks/ Revizto.
  • Proficiency in management of workflows and processes in CAD and BIM
  • Ability to create new templates based on program/project requirements (authoring, assuring tracking, reporting etc.)
  • Ability to direct the production staff on assignments and coordinate resources for single or multiple disciplines on a program or project.
  • Supervises model detailing and ensures details are clear and consistent throughout plans (level of information need).
  • Proficient in reviewing models for compliance with digital production usages. Responsible for the quality of models developed.
  • Develop and maintain CAD and BIM libraries, continually advancing the platforms’ efficiency and utilization. Supervision of catalogue development and use, e.g., 2D symbology, families, parametric, parts, sub-assemblies, etc.
  • Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
  • Becomes familiar with various standards and codes such as ISO 19650, etc.
  • Develops the baseline schedule for teams at the start of each task. Tracks progress of task assignments vs original baseline schedule for the team

 

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering/Architecture/Landscape/Urban Planning/Urban Design from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum eight (8) years demonstrable experience of BIM/ CAD design production and previous working role as a BIM Coordinator, Sr. BIM Specialist, in managing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams involved in landscape projects.
  • In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil3D and Revit with proficiency in BIM/ CAD processes
  • Experience with BIM/ CAD instruction and training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to effectively communicate with client, management, and project personnel on technical and non-technical subjects.
  • Preferred automations skills such as. Revit API, Dynamo, AutoCAD Automations LISP, Macros etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of CDE Project Setups, ISO BIM Workflows and Industry standard BIM and CAD, familiarity with international standards related to BIM/CAD, such as ISO 19650.

  • Potential to perform in a lead capacity. Regularly provides technical guidance to BIM/CAD Team Leads and technicians. Ability to mentor staff on technical aspects.
