Auditor

An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Internal Audit team as Auditor. In this role you will assist in accelerating audit assignments by completing pre- & post- assignment activities. You will be responsible for audit documentation and handling testing of identified controls as well as documenting preliminary observations for areas as assigned by Manager Internal Audit.

Your duties would include:

• Ensure pre-engagement work is completed as per the requirements of the assignment.
• Able to research on the audit subject and gather knowledge of the audit entity.
• Capable to understand and document business processes, minutes of the meetings.
• Comprehends key risks and controls.
• Handle testing of controls per directions from Manager Internal Audit.
• Should be able to work on assignments with data collection, verification and analysis. Knowledge of Excel, Tableau, PowerBi, ACL, is preferred.
• Should have a keen eye to identify trends and odd patterns.
• To be able to draw initial conclusions for review of the Project Manager;
• Should be good with time management & Planning and organizing.
• Filing of documents to support fieldwork activities and final observations post engagement;
• Perform other department duties related to your position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Internal Audit team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Should have bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of work experience in internal or external auditing / consulting / finance or accounting / risk management or a minimum 2 years’ experience in Airline business environment.
• Auditing specialization.
• CA/CPA/ACCA/CIA/CFE certification preferred.
• Experience from airline audit background or experience in audit gained from a large reputable corporates, consulting and top tier audit firms preferred.
• Must possess analytical skills and detail oriented.
• Proficient with MS office applications.
• Excellent command of English language written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a cross-culture environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and self-discipline.
• Should be motivated, responsible and focused.
• Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
• Ability to work under pressure
