The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and as a British School Overseas (BSO). BISR is also a member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME), the Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO), the Heads Conference (HMC) and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). The school follows the English curriculum, greatly enriched by the local and international context. We are seeking a HR Specialist with prior HR knowledge and experience to join our HR team on a full time basis, covering HR services across all our campuses. The individual’s responsibilities will span across a range of HR activities, including key responsibilities for all transactions relating to recruitment, onboarding and other HR operational activities. 

Standard working hours will normally be from 7:45am to 4pm, 5 days a week – Sunday to Thursday during term time, however, due to the nature of the role and requirements within the HR work cycle, this means a high level of flexibility and commitment is required, often working outside of the standard hours, with some work activities requiring completion during the School holidays.

 

 

The successful candidate will:

 

  • Be enthusiastic, highly motivated and with a strong track record of working within a similar type of role.
  • Show evidence of strong recruitment and onboarding experience within a large organisation.
  • Show evidence of strong Human Resources skills in ensuring that safeguarding, recruitment and onboarding requirements for new staff are dealt with in accordance with the school policies; 
  • Be proactive in their approach to dealing with interactions with external and internal enquires on HR matters in line with the school’s expected high standards; 
  • Be familiar with basic HRM systems; 
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively across teams, work in a high pressure environment and be able to deliver to strict deadlines; 
  • Go the extra mile, including working outside of standard school hours, ensuring service level delivery is met; 
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, high levels of emotional intelligence and be able to deal effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and teams; 
  • Fully support the school Mission, Vision and Motto
