The project:

Cost management of complex works packages, managing risk and opportunity ensuring profit on packages and project. Supporting the senior commercial team members in administering the monthly commercial procedures such as cost value report.

Client focus – Deliver on our promise: 

  • Conducting detailed cost analysis on various aspects of the programme, identifying patterns, variances, and opportunities for savings.
  • Generating cost projections and forecasts to assist in financial planning and budgeting.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for PMCs and leading cost-related queries and requirements.
  • Evidencing PMCs adhere to company-established processes and procedures, providing training and guidance as necessary.
  • Coordinating with PMCs to ensure accurate and timely submission of cost data and reports.
  • Utilising advanced Excel/P6/techniques to handle, evaluate, and visualize large datasets including WBS and CBS.
  • Creating detailed cost reports, dashboards, and presentations to provide insights to senior management.
  • Maintaining an organised database of all cost-related information, evidencing data integrity and accuracy.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement in cost engineering and value engineering practices.
  • Staying updated on the latest tools and techniques in cost engineering and data analysis.
  • Collaborating with other members of the PMO to integrate cost data with other key performance indicators, enhancing overall program insights.
  • Leading program and valuation activities, evidencing compliance with established cost-related procedures and standards.
  • Highlighting any deviations from the set budget and procedures to senior management.
  • Manages & provides leadership to a team of Managers and Professionals, ensuring the principles, structures, tools/capabilities and responsibilities are in place to deliver area plans and deliver excellence.
  • Addresses subcontractor contractual claims and change.
  • Produces monthly client application.
  • Approves invoices and issues IPC.
  • Drafts necessary technical and contractual corresponded.
  • Commercially managers design consultants and specialist fees.
  • Ensures site team acts with in commercial and legal procedures and agreements.
  • Communicates with clients and subcontractors.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and shares responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
