Our new Airport site office and Muscat Grand Mall office highlight our ambition to increase local operational capabilities. In 2010 we supplied navigation systems to 5 airports, modernizing Oman’s navigation surveillance capabilities and increasing flight safety. An increase in air traffic growth has led to crucial need for modernisation of Oman’s transport infrastructure, Thales is providing security solutions for Oman’s largest infrastructure project, Muscat International Airport and for Salalah Airport in Oman’s second largest city.

 

 

Job Profile:

• Participate in deriving the quality strategy of software solutions
• Responsible for writing and executing the different validation test scenarios including test automation.
• Responsible for recording and tracking of defects, verifying fixed ones, and performing necessary regression tests.
• Responsible for performing non-functional testing including performance tests and security.
• Responsible for integration and deployment of software solutions in different environments
• Responsible for writing quality documentation including the Validation Test Plan, Acceptance Tet Plan, Delivery Form…etc.
• Responsible for preparing and performing user acceptances tests (internal and with customers)
• Adhere to Thales DIS process and guidelines.

 

Experience / Background:

• Engineering degree in Computer sciences.
• Arabic speaker with fluent English skills.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in software validation.
• Proven experience in complex software projects.

 

Skills:

• Experience and excellent knowledge in validation and integration methodologies and tools for enterprise software solutions
• Good understanding of web technologies (Application servers like JBoss/Websphere, web servers like Tomcat/Apache) and validation of projects using these technologies
• Understanding of validating windows applications (preferably interfacing with external devices like smart card, card printers)
• Experience in database skills (SQL, JDBC) using any RDBS (preferably Oracle)
• IT capabilities & knowledge (Windows platform/Unix platforms like AIX…)
• Willingness to travel to other countries as per the project needs.
• Basic knowledge of Java and C# as programming language
• Familiarity with smart card technology and cryptography concepts
• Experience in any scripting languages and test automation
• Experience using any version control system and issue tracking
