The Solution Architect – ERP/MES is responsible for architecting L4/L3 system and solutions application related handing business solutions. The individual is to support the L4/L3 integrated design and implementation of suitable system architecture for production of Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals and other domain including 3rd party systems, custom development when required. The individual is also responsible for owning business outcomes and implementation strategy towards L4/ERP and L3/MES solution implementation while supporting Digital Enterprise Business Unit/ Solution Division in developing a differentiation in a high-growth competitive environment in YMA region.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Perform high level technical analysis activities, such as requirements gathering and gap analysis of plant operation requirements. Knowledge of latest Operational handling in a plant/organization is advantages.
  • Responsible for variety of system integration challenges related to ERP/MES solution implementation on system platform, portfolio management, design and demo functions.
  • Responsible for the study and implementation support and successful proliferation of the right MES architect in the assigned industry / application.
  • Responsible to ensure client expectations are understood and being met.
  • Responsible to ensure timing and quality of assigned deliverables completion.
  • Responsible to ensure best practice approaches and methods are being used as appropriate.
  • Engage with customer in assigned technical area(s) to develop solutions that help to resolve their process problems and grow their business leveraging latest Digital Solution tools if possible.
  • Support SM/DX MES training efforts – Provide input, document requirements, and support the architecture design and delivery of training programs.
  • Define and measure success metrics.
  • Responsible for / contribution to the preparation of reports for clients
  • Define MES solution architectures and develops detailed MES Solution design specifications.
  • Define functional requirements through client interviews, documentation analysis and Workflow Process Mapping. Knowledge of multiple 3rd party protocol and interface is an advantage.
  • Provide expert knowledge and experience to estimate the technical effort required to implement complex solutions.
  • Responsible for technical deliverables during the entire lifecycle of solution development projects
  • Actively participate on a technical project team, ensuring that effective relationships are built and maintained.
  • Proactively engage with customers to define the overall improvement towards Operational Excellence.
  • Assist existing customers in problem resolution and help define future opportunities with those customers. Provide Sure Service support to clients under contract.
  • Proven ability to positively interact with all sales personnel and secure orders.

 

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Eng./Comp Science or minimum 6 years industry experience in engineering discipline and sales
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience onto integration implementing/handling actual ERP/MES applications. Knowledge of AI for MES will be advantages.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on Solution development for Operation usage.
  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout the YMA region.

 

Competencies

  • Good communication skills, a team player, ability to energize.
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals or specialized chemical Domain will be a plus.
  • Strong Knowledge on ERP and MES business to provide strong advice towards Digital Transformation journey implementation will be of added-value.

Skills

  • Software skills in software analysis, design, methodology, and architecture
  • Strong exposure to ERP/MES/SM/DX technologies, including automated data collection, historian applications (OSI PI a plus), visualization, quality and efficiency in manufacturing, SCADA, automated decision control, workflow, database applications and scheduling.
  • Anticipates the needs for change and supports and promotes companywide programs, strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop and identifies Industry / application-wide Digital technologies suitable for business use.
  • Creates an environment conductive to successful interaction and customer satisfaction.
  • Early engagement with Customers and explore long term partnership agreements.
