Facilitate precise processing of business center’s payroll, compensation & benefits and ensure that employees are paid all their contractual dues in a timely manner.
Accountable for the verification of relevant data to ensure 100% accuracy of payroll transactions alongside compliance to local laws and Wage Protection System.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible of the payroll process from the input of the variable data to the validation of the pay slip before bank transfer.
- Administer verification of timesheets, reviewing calculations and data entry (new hires, amendments, rehires, transfers) of all relevant information for the monthly payroll processing.
- Accountable for verification of the pay slips before initiating bank transfer; ensure payroll operations are compliant with Wage Protection System.
- Ensure that any changes to the payroll data (fixed or variable) are supported by approved documentation and fully compliant with the company policies and Qatar Labor Law.
- Control the full spectrum of payroll for each employee which includes:
- Bank account
- Leave balance and encashment of annual leave; air fares
- Variable data
- Cash advance and deductions
- Final settlement
- Pay Slips
- Be the single point of contact for the dedicated population/cost centers by responding to queries of employees and managers while keeping the Payroll Team Leader in the loop; report/escalate the complaints
- Input monthly variable data, attendance etc. in the payroll system; liaise with various stakeholders to gather such data from IFS as required.
- Enter new employees’ data such as bank account details, QID number in payroll system (GEMS).
- Be in contact with departmental head for monthly variable data; perform salary revisions and reconciliation in accordance with contractual amendments.
- Calculation of monthly overtime and incentive for days worked during normal, weekends and public holidays.
- Audit salary payments with invoicing.
- Regular filing and archiving of payroll information.
- Generate monthly regularization data; develop ad hoc reports for management.
- Contribute towards company’s QHSE policies in daily work environment.
- Required to handle other tasks as necessary.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong administration and interpersonal skills
- Attention to details and keen analytical ability
- Knowledge of Qatar Labor Law and payroll legislation
- Advanced skills in MS Office suite
- Honesty and ability to handle confidential information
- Time-management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Commerce.
- 6+ years of experience in payroll in a multi-national organization
- Prior experience in the GCC and Oil and gas industry are preferred
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
