Responsible for ensuring the serviceability of all equipment and systems under the department. Accountable for implementation of improvement proposals to enhance the infrastructure for a better and efficient performance and to reduce upon the maintenance cost.
Responsible for the execution of all preventive, corrective and improvement works and to ensure they are carried out timely and in a safe manner as such not to hinder the airport operations. Accountable for effective and proper use of all resources and manpower with cost saving as the uppermost criteria.
Plan, supervise, perform operation and maintenance activities for all Mechanical Assets and keep updated technical information of Mechanical assets, the associated spare parts usage and spare parts management.
Organize Mechanical systems corrective and preventive maintenance tasks in timely manner and within the stipulated response time to minimise asset down time and impact to airport operations.
Deliver quality assurance audits, inspections for Mechanical and preparation of breakdown reports by case study, survey and root cause analyses for appropriate solution proposal.
Review, identification and implementation of KPI (Key Performance Indicator) for all preventive/corrective maintenance works.
To plan, supervise and delegate of all Mechanical systems preventive/corrective maintenance works in accordance to manufacturer, international and local code of practices so as to ensure minimal wastage of manpower and resources by appropriate planning, coordination and works supervision.
Ensure that all the Mechanical system preventive/corrective maintenance works are executed inline and compliance with FM- Asset Management System.
Review / approve contractor proposals, method statements, material submittals, as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals; review of new project impact on the facilities, investigating of equipment deficiency, review of the proposed changes to the facility to deliver assets in accordance with standards, regulations, HIA specifications assets systems.
Review / approve mechanical engineering contractor proposals, method statements, material submittals, as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals; review of new project impact on the facilities, investigating of equipment deficiency, review of the proposed changes to the facility to deliver assets in accordance with standards, regulations, HIA specifications assets systems.
Contribute to the budgeting process and raise requisitions for spares and services as and when required.
Ability to work on shift duty and over the weekends.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Respond and attend to emergency calls after office hours and during weekends.
Qualifications
About You
High school qualification/vocational qualification/ Diploma or equivalent (Type of diploma based on the role) with minimum 4 years of job related experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years of job related experience
Technical hands on experience in maintenance, installation, modification, testing and commissioning of mechanical engineering system.
Past experience in airport or large commercial or industrial facilities like large malls, hotels, manufacturing plants.
Experience working in the GCC.
