We are now looking for a Strategic Sourcing manager (SSM) to work in IT services. The role has a truly global scope and has impact on every single employee in the region, as we source to fulfill needs across the region, across 100+ countries.
The role entails to drive relations with key suppliers, drive knowledge leadership in the field together with stakeholders, to manage risks and contribute to drive cost and performance improvements in the category. You will drive negotiations, RFX’s and also support category projects and programs.
In the role, you will be working close with our internal Enterprise IT organization to evaluate and select products and business models for the category, as well as support globally on continuous basis with questions related to key suppliers and contracts.
You will join the UCDW (Unified Communications & Digital Workplace categories) sourcing team, which are consists of a set of categories related to telecom and digital workplace. We are a diverse team which has true global presence across the globe, with 11 colleagues based in Stockholm, Mexico City and Johannesburg – to name a few. We work in a collaborative fashion on a daily basis together, to drive operational excellence, cost and performance in our supplier base!
What you will do
- Lead, prepare and execute the RFx process
- Manage the category and key suppliers therein
- Manage relations with internal customers and drive portfolio choices related to the category
- Ensure supplier agreement implementation
- Perform sourcing compliance mandatory checks and actions
You will bring
- A University degree (MSc or BSc) or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience, preferably in IT categories – or equivalent experience that matches this requirement
- Demonstrated previous leadership experience in projects or line management
- Contract management experience
- Sourcing Practice, Process and Strategy Knowledge
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build relations
- Ability to influence internal and external partners
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities
- Proficiency in English and in Arabic (both written and spoken) – other languages are considered as beneficial
- Proficiency in tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI etc.
