You’ll be responsible for:

Developing a training plan/ training calendar in consultation with the Business Unit Director, Functional/ Service Team Leads and Communication Manager.

Developing the training programmes/ schedules tailored to the identified needs of the teams within the programme. 

Consulting with clients and project teams to provide advice that supports effective team working and capability enhancement.

Assessing performance and effectiveness gaps and working with project senior leaders to recommend continuous improvement to training and training plans.

Where relevant, developing, delivering, and adapting bespoke initiatives that create opportunities for personal, team and project growth.

Preparing learning materials/ packs required. 

Scheduling training sessions within appropriate venues. 

Running training sessions such as ‘Lunch and Learns’, Learning café’s, workshops etc. in consultation with the Communications and Transition Manager.

Creating and maintaining attendance registers and training records/ trackers; recording sessions, and issuing certificates.

Researching and suggesting courses relevant to the Programme teams/ individuals.

Gathering feedback on the quality of the training session(s) and areas for improvement i.e. creating surveys etc. This will include chasing attendees to complete the post training questions/ survey. 

Preparing/ updating and delivering the onboarding training for new employees as part of the programme induction in consultation with the Communications Manager

Developing training templates/ resources.

Managing Functional/ Service Leads in the production of training content.

Establishing/ joining Communities of Practice.

Working with and supporting communication/ transition management in all areas, including event

You’ll need to have:

A passion for educating/ coaching i.e. training and effectively transferring knowledge is fundamental to the role.

With a relevant degree qualification, your professional competencies and experience should include personal effectiveness in key areas such as training, stakeholder management and communication.  

You’ll also have:

Experienced in capability improvement/ facilitation/ training/ coaching.

Able to present and communicate well at all levels, both written and verbal.

Digitally savvy.

Able to guide, direct, coordinate and upskill internal and external teams.

Able to build and design effective and interesting training materials.

Experienced at building lasting stakeholder relationships and providing support to strong, motivated teams. 

Able to work collaboratively with others to meet shared training objectives/ outcomes. 

Effective at problem solving i.e. Able to tailor the training approach to specific audiences internally and externally. 

Good at managing key senior stakeholders.

Competent and able to develop individual and team capability which will enhance organisational effectiveness.

An example of sound judgement – able to maintain focus and find practical solutions to help teams move forward at pace.

Able to recognise the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to programmes/ projects.
