Team Leader- Procurement

Job Description:

Responsible for overseeing and optimizing our procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services

• Develop and execute procurement strategies tailored to the industry’s unique needs and challenges
• Cultivate and manage strong relationships with industry-specific suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, with a focus on maintaining consistent operations despite disruptions
• Ensure all procured materials and services meet industry-specific quality and safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Monitor and optimize procurement costs without compromising quality or safety standards
• Collaborate with technical experts to understand and meet the specialized requirements of equipment and materials used in the industry
• Oversee inventory, particularly for critical spare parts, ensuring efficient management to support operations and maintenance
• Coordinate with logistics and transportation partners to ensure timely deliveries, especially to remote sites
• Stay updated on industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements, and ensure full compliance

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (CSCP,CPM) is an added advantage
• At least 6 years of related experience

Skills Desired:

• Relevant experience in procurement, including supplier management
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Knowledge of procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
• Ability to work well in a team and lead cross-functional collaborations
• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices
