Supervises operations of reception and patient care assistants (PCAs) and provide patient services as needed in an effort to improve patient satisfaction. Assures that standards of scheduling, patient care, and efficiency are maintained in accordance with Hospital policies & procedures.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

 

1. Supervises daily work activities of subordinates, plans, organizes, and monitors operations of reception, scheduling and patient transport. Assigns work to subordinates, and develops and maintains the scheduling system , ensures coverage of all reception, scheduling desks and PCAs. Maintains supply order/inventorv svstem.

2. Directs and categorizes patients when required to the various sections within the Radiology Department including distribution of procedure information booklets and assisting them when needed to arrive to their further destinations throughout the Hospital.

3. Coordinates with Section Supervisors of CT/MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, Nuclear Medicine and any other related entities regarding opening, closing and changes in Medical Imaging Services appointments.

4. Coordinates with the relevant support services representatives to organize and coordinate their radiological procedure bookings and ensuring new appointments or rescheduling is made.

5. Responds to patient inquiries and complaints by directing the issues to the concerned department and/or appropriate representative to ensure a satisfactory solution, ensuring patient satisfaction.

6. Develops and recommends new methodologies. Maintains the section policies and procedures. 

7. Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Program, provides information and reports based on CQI indicators. Distributes and collects patient satisfaction data, relaying the feedback to the concerned sections for purpose of future improvement to better meet the patient’s needs. Follows up all incident reports involvina section provides appropriate action and written response.

8. Evaluates performance of subordinates. Counsels subordinates to improve performance. Recommends disciplinary action. Ensures that personnel in his/her section receive appropriate orientation, training, and continuing education. Evaluates employment candidates and makes recommendations regarding hire. 

9.Ensures that safety procedures are implemented and practiced.

10. Carries out assigned projects, recommends new approaches, using systems management methods.

11. Ensures that senior staff of the section can handle the supervisory duty at any time.

12. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.

13. Participates in self and others’ educational , training and development , as applicable.

14. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Education

Master’s Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

 

Three (3) years of related experience including one (1) year in supervisory capacity with Master’s Degree, or five (5) years with Bachelor’s Degree required.
