Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:

  • Supervise the foremen and operators in the monitoring of operating parameters recorded by them and check for any deviation to ensure immediate corrective action to avoid tripping of the operating equipment.
  • Take round all areas to check for any unusual condition of the equipment panels and controls, firefighting alarm, etc.
  • Updating of water analysis report and abnormality report both electrical & instrumentation
  • Issuing work permits and ensuring proper isolation and tagging. Before and after job completion inspection is needed to ensure no incident or accident.
  • Update the superiors if there’s any incident of breakdown or any abnormalities during tour of duty.
  • Plan and attended any operational issues during their duty.
  • Completion of Daily Check list activities.
  • Make sure the availability of stand by engine Daily generation report preparation.
  • Attend in coordination with shift engineer if any corrective maintenance of electrical and instrumentation faults occurring in his shift.

 

  • Safely operate the high voltage & low voltage switchgears, panels, transformers independently.
  • Lead the team in case of emergency situations as per the procedures for blackouts, fire & hazardous situations.
  • Perform routine maintenance in coordination with maintenance team.
  • To be in communication with customers & coordinate the load requirements.
  • Any other jobs assigned by superior.
  • Follow the instruction from superior for shift change, duty change & duty extension as and when required.
  • Assist with mechanical team whenever required in emergency.
  • Unloading of fuels and oils on emergency.
Other Responsibilities:
  • To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
  • To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
  • To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines, or equipment to concerned staff.
  • To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
  • To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
  • To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to the concerned responsible.
  • To attend safety training planned for them.
  • Having a right to say “NO” to any unsafe work.
