ENOWA plans to utilize various technologies, including large-scale solar PV, wind power, pump hydro-station, geothermal energy, and clean-fuel gas turbines – as an integrated decentralized solution to meet the increased electricity demands due to a high degree of electrification. 

The candidate will work on projects involving these technologies and various execution strategies, with construction starting in August 2024 and continuing through 2030.

Expectations

The Wellsite Geologist will provide geological support at the well site during drilling operations. This role involves supervising data collection, interpreting geological data, and advising the drilling team to optimize drilling performance and ensure safety.

Approach

  • Analyse and evaluate geological data during drilling.
  • Supervise data collection from drill cuttings, MWD, LWD, and other sources.
  • Provide real-time geological advice to the drilling team.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and end-of-well reports.
  • Support the interpretation and integration of geological data.
  • Collaborate with drilling engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate regularly with the operation team at the office.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company regulations.
  • Promote HSE compliance among service company personnel.

Experience and Skills

  • Degree in Geology.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Outstanding knowledge and skills in well-site geology.
  • Experience with well summary log software (e.g., Strater, StratLog).
  • Knowledge of mud-logging units and equipment.
  • Experience in the Red Sea region and salt formations is an advantage.
