Generic Accountabilities
1. People Management Manage, motivate and develop individual employees and the team in line with people policies & practices. Communicate operational procedures.
2. Corporate Governance and Compliance Work fully within risk policies and procedures and compliance regulations and ensure all divisional activities comply with corporate governance & regulatory/legal frameworks
Specific Accountabilities
1. Credit applications Manage the preparation of credit applications, manage the credit application process, advise clients of progress of applications, communicate outcomes and negotiate variations
2. Portfolio monitoring Monitor compliance with limits, take corrective action and initiate corrective plans
3. Client management Manage a portfolio ensuring client needs are delivered and a high quality service is provided to clients,
4. Sales Identify sales opportunities, market and cross sell products, services and solutions and close sales/delivery
5. Business development Identify and develop business with potential clients and raise ABK’s profile in the sector
6. MIS Ensure MIS is fit for purpose and guide team members in collating & using data
7. Remedial accounts Handle the transition of remedial accounts and documentation etc

Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Certification/Experience in Finance or Business Managament & Admistration
Additional Professional Qualification & Certification
Experience
• Minimum 9 years banking sector experience
• Experience of corporate banking activities and processes
• Successful record of managing corporate clients
• Experience in credit analysis, credit process and portfolio management
Skills
• In-depth understanding of corporate banking products and services
• Knowledge of corporate banking
• Knowledge of corporate lending theory and practice
