Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role you will get to be responsible for all QS and contractual matters related to the execution of the contract.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collection of Contract documents, Insurances & Guarantees as required under the contract, discussed system with Client for the process of certificates. Issued the Advance payment with necessary documents under Clause 60(2).
  • To ensure that uniform measurement practices are adopted in the Project Contract
  • Review BOQ Recapitulation prepared by Quantity Surveyor.
  • Review Monthly Financial Affairs Report.
  • Review Interim and Final Quantity Books.
  • Review the Contractor’s interim and final pay certificates.
  • Review unit rates for new items of works.
  • Review joint measurements based on approved Requests for Approvals for interim payments.
  • Review final pay quantities.
  • Assist Resident Engineer in monitoring progress schedule and cash flow chart.
  • Review preparation of Change Orders and Variation Orders.
  • Preparation of New Estimates related to variation works
  • Assist in Resident Engineer for evaluating claims, contractual issues with the contractor.
  • Auditing activities: Internal Audits, Contractors Audits and Plant Audits.
  • Preparation of Dashboard & Monthly Progress Report.
  • Final Account settlement, participate in the meetings to resolve disputed items & measurements and Claim analysis.
  • Attend the Safety Health & Welfare meetings at Project Construction site.
  • Accountable:  for those responsibilities delegated to him by the RE 

 

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent work experience) and typically 20+ years of related work experience involving typical estimating activities in road infrastructure projects.
  • Must have previous experience using estimating database supported software.
  • A familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is required.
  • Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be an estimate team leader.

 

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Ability to perform difficult estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required. In addition, excellent written and verbal communication skills, familiarity with company and project procedures and practices.
