Job Purpose
The Planning function is the strategic component of the hospital’s supply chain focusing on the supply and demand cycles through collaboration with clinicians and operational end-users throughout the goods and services value chain.  The position of the Senior Planning Specialist specializes on the clinical vertical of Special Medical products to ensure an efficient and effective portfolio within the specified product area. Within the specified vertical, the position also manages the clinical item mamster, standardization, budgets forecasting in collaboration with clinical teams and communicate with the Master Data Management Team in the Control and Development. The Senior Planning Specialist works as direct support and under supervisor of the respective Manager.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

 

  • . Forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
  • Interface to all clinical and non-clinical functions within the hospital to manage demand planning and ensure consistent products.
  • Close cooperation with clinical and non clinical committees to moderate decisions for new products.
  • Interface within Supply Chain functions, specifically with Master Data Management team in the the Control and Development function to ensure correct and up-to-date Item and Vendor information
  • Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
  • Support to analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize internal customer service.
  • Managing and reviewing all kinds of reports related to planning department.
  • Managing all other activities delicate to planning Dep..
  • Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
  • Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Performs other job related duties, as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Minimum or Required:
Bachelor’s degree; Supply Chain Management or related (such as industrial engineering Business Admin.) alternatively: clinical education (such as clinical Pharmacist, Physician, etc.). with 6 years of experience.

Preferred:
Master’s degree; Supply Chain Management or related (such as industrial engineering Business Admin.) alternatively: clinical education (such as clinical Pharmacist, Physician, etc.). with 4 years of experience.
