Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planning & Scheduling Specialist to join our team!

 

In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD).  KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a mixture of world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, and contemporary residences in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Plans, directs, and supervises urban/environmental planning projects of large scope and complexity. Serves as a technical leader and recognized expert in the field of practice. Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs arise. Monitors productivity and proficiency of assigned personnel. Establishes budget estimates and staffing requirements for defined scope and schedule.

Review work produced by those assigned to ensure that all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, that current techniques are utilized, and that quality is acceptable. Engages services of outside consultants when warranted.

Serves as key contact for major clients. May serve on technical review boards, committees, and panels for projects that will majorly impact a community or urban area.

Develops and presents recommendations based on governmental measures for major projects affecting land use, public utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation to control and guide community development and renewal.
Prepares, coordinates, and facilitates public involvement and consensus-building meetings and workshops that are highly interesting to the general public.

Reviews and evaluates environmental impact reports and recommends changes to the overall project plan as appropriate.

Reviews and evaluates Reuse and Redevelopment Master Plans and recommends changes as appropriate.

Maintains active membership in appropriate professional organizations and societies. Represents the Company at conferences, seminars, meetings, etc.

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Urban/Environmental Planning or related field and typically 10+ years of related work experience.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

Expert knowledge of urban/environmental planning practices and procedures. Proficiency in utilizing PC and various software packages typically used in urban/environmental planning assignments is required.

It also requires excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough understanding of local statutes and environmental rules and regulations.
