Essential Duties & Responsibilities::

A. Shareholder & Financial:

Assist VP HR Business Partners in the implementation of HR strategies for attracting, developing, motivating and retaining deserving employees as set by the GM Group Human Capital.

Establishing and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance monitoring for the HR Business Partner unit and monitor their achievements on periodic basis.

Ensure quality HR services to the internal customers in most cost effective manner.    

 

B. Customer (Internal & External):

Assist in defining the goals of each division & departments within, and identify the optimum resources required to achieve them. Also, provide appropriate advice in such areas of employment, counseling, compensation & benefits, talent management, training and organization development.

Work closely with assigned Divisions and the Departments within, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting both managers and employees to understand and implement HR initiatives, policies and procedures in the interest of the Group QNB

Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related units to achieve the Department’s goals/ objectives.

Ensure that assistance is given to the heads and officers in resolving grievance or complex personnel problems.

Recommend transfers and promotions in order to best utilize abilities of staff.

Manage providing assistance in the development of communication to local customers and facilitate training of line managers and employees on new programs, systems and processes as required.

Ensure necessary assistance is given to the Manpower Planning unit in developing appropriate HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements in terms of staffing number level.

Ensure that employees are coached on performance management system and process.

Ensure that proper advice is provided to heads and employees on entitled compensation and benefits, salary packages and relevant market information.

Assist Head of HR Business Partners in leading the implementation of global, regional and local HR Programs including the annual / mid-year performance reviews, the annual salary reviews, the incentive plan distribution and payment, the employee opinion surveys, etc.

Coordinate with legal consultants on labor law related matters.

Supervise the process of identifying and reporting significant potential problems that may jeopardize the achievement ofcompany goals and those that are not being addressed adequately at the line management level.

Manage providing assistance to Compensation &Benefits unit in conducting competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain superior staff.

Ensure that assistance is provided in deployment of Group level Talent Management and Succession Planning process by playing a role of active facilitator.

Ensure that advice and information are provided on handling employee or company initiated terminations.

Ensure that exit interviews are conducted and attrition trends are analysed to feed the information back in HR strategy.

Strive to retain Talent in the assigned Division and act as a first point of contact for employee questions and grievances.

Review and monitor monthly headcount / variance as applicable within the Division

Undertake ad-hoc duties and projects as required.

 

C. Learning & Knowledge:

Possess an in-depth understanding of local employment legislation, compliance requirements and changes impacting the workforce.

Possess extensive knowledge of HR practices, principles, applications, methods, and laws.

Identify areas for professional development of self and all direct reports, and act to enhance professional development of self and others.

Actively participate in meetings which aim to assess performance and serve as means to resolve grievances or conflicts within the team.

Education/Experience Requirements::

University graduate with a degree specializing in BusinessHuman Resources

Minimum of 8 years experience in human resources preferably with a local/ Gulf bank entailing responsibilities in HR Business Partners

CIPD certificate would be advantageous

Required Special Skills::

Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.

Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.

Ability to identify and recommend appropriate course of action.

Ability to make decisions and follow through with initiatives.

Planning, organizing ability.

Ability to motivate and work with teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
