Responsibilities
· Line management responsibilities for all CMS personnel working within KAAB Logistic Wing
· Be seen as a major stakeholder for all issues affecting the Tornado fleet to Out of Service Date (OSD).
· Have detailed knowledge and understanding of the RSAF technical procedures, forms and directives that make up the RSAF Regulatory Framework for Logistics and have the ability to brief using that knowledge.
· Required to provide advice and practical assistance to the Logistics wing commander and his deputies.
· Provide advice on the integration of programmes in support of the Strategic Mission and Supply Statement.
· Provide advice on identified specific SHE implications related to any tasks as directed by the Logistics Wing Commander.
· Represent RSAF, and support RSAF KAAB Logistics in contracted and non-contracted review meetings, both internal and external.
· Ensure Customer requirements are accurately captured and interpreted and are fully understood by the PC and MoDSAP.
· Monitoring and tracking the performance of Company and offset companies against agreed targets for development production and delivery of products and services to the customer.
· Drafting and developing Command Polices, concepts, procedures and directives pertinent to the management of the Tornado aircraft fleet.
· Assess, prioritise, delegate and ensure robust management of all issues affecting the fleet.
· Manage integration of programmes and advise in support of the Strategic Mission Statement. Provide insight, accurate and timely recommendations.
· Advise company directors, managers and chief engineer on rapidly changing customer requirements. Whilst protecting the customer’s interests and trust, ensure that company’s strategies support the customers’ requirements.
· Review and amend new solutions on behalf of the customer to ensure that the company offers the best products, services and conditions. To recommend approval of such solutions to the customer after meticulous research and analysis.
Job Requirements:
· Minimum of 10 years management experience of fast jet aircraft support and operations gained in a Senior RSAF, RAF or civilian equivalent position.
· Exceptional organizational skills gained from operating in a senior management role.
· Proficient in Management of multiple simultaneous Programmes with well-developed ability in tracking and maintaining schedules.
· Proficient in prioritizing projects and Programmes to meet changing customer requirements.
· Proficient in understanding Programme life cycle management.
· Highly seasoned in customer relations, being well trusted and valued.
· Should have the ability to communicate effectively, using good oral and written expression with his colleagues and with higher RSAF, MODSAP and BAE Systems representatives.
· Must be able to demonstrate a firm grasp of the RSAF Command Structure.
· Demonstrable experience of managerial responsibility for personnel and proven leadership and people development skills.
· Have completed a recognised course of training, or an apprenticeship at a military or civilian school of Aeronautical Engineering or related technology.
· Proven management, leadership and administrative skills.
· Experienced in implementing continuous improvement by using systematic managerial techniques.
· Proven experience in providing senior level reports and presentations to senior BAE management and RSAF Officers.
· Must be computer literate and have a sound knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.
· Ideally will have attended and successfully completed RSAF officer staff training.
· Educated to Higher National Diploma level or equivalent in an Aerospace or Engineering discipline.
