REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years Well Services, Completions or Coiled Tubing/Wireline experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Thru-tubing completions, packers and bridge plug operations.
  • Technical Degree or Diploma from University or College is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

KNOWLEDGE

  • In-depth knowledge of Thru-Tubing Fishing and Milling or Packer/Bridge Plug Operations
  • Basic understanding of the different facets of field operations including but not limited to completions, interventions, remedial work-overs and well rejuvenation.
  • Awareness of the latest API Q2 and ISO 9001 standards and requirements
  • High School Diploma and relevant technical qualification or experience.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in calculating basic oil industry volumes, pressures and forces.
  • Technical ability and logical thinking.
  • Problem solving in the field and under strict time constraints.
  • Basic computer skills and detailed knowledge of Microsoft office.

ABILITIES

  • Ability to work effectively on offshore platforms as well as drilling rigs.
  • Perform maintenance & repairs on company owned rental equipment in the field when required.
  • Function effectively and efficiently in an demanding, hands-on operational role
  • Communicate clearly especially on operation critical parameters or require ments

OPERATIONS

  • Provide installation, and supervision of thru-tubing down-hole tools and equipment during offshore operations in the field.
  • Assist in generating business to increase revenues through high level of service delivery and operational performance of Weatherford products and services. This is the fully qualified level job for Field Specialists, who have a demanding, hands-on job that makes use of the latest technologies to deliver solutions for our clients.
  • Acts to supervise and train junior field crews whenever necessary and functions with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. Trained and certified to maintain and run well service and intervention operations.
  • Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems.
  • Resolves complex technical issues offshore and implements technical operating procedures in the field. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
  • Familiar with a variety of the oilfield concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks related to thrutubing and well service operations.
  • Perform installation services for retrievable bridge plugs, packers and service tools in the field on all industry standard- conveyance methods.
  • Must be proficient in calculating basic oil industry volumes, pressures and forces.
  • Have a keen understanding of different facets of field operations including but not limited to completions, interventions, remedial work-overs and well rejuvenation.
  • Able to work effectively on offshore platforms as well as drilling rigs.
  • Perform maintenance & repairs on company owned rental equipment in the field as needed.
  • Accurate & thorough completion of end of well and WPTS reports on a timely basis.
  • Assist in the workshop and prepare equipment for mobilization when/where necessary.
  • Available on a 24 hours call basis to respond to customer operations.
  • Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual,Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions, including awareness of international industry and quality standards (API Q2 and ISO 9001).
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by operations supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

COMMUNICATION

  • Where required, will report all equipment failures to the operations and R&M team through the appropriate system
  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Employees should communicate expectations and objectives to their supervisors.

FINANCIAL

  • Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure
