Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Environmental Engineer, we’ll count on you to:

  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with NCEC standards and regulations. Provide guidance and support to ensure environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage complex environmental engineering projects from conception to completion. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Environmental Impact Assessments: Conduct detailed environmental impact assessments and audits. Prepare and review environmental reports and documentation.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of company operations.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and clients. Address environmental issues and provide solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train junior engineers and staff on environmental engineering practices and standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and community groups to ensure alignment with environmental policies and standards.
  • Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in environmental engineering. Implement innovative solutions to enhance environmental performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a significant portion of that time spent in roles requiring adherence to NCEC standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of NCEC standards and regulations. Proven experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and audits.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Proficiency in environmental engineering software and tools.
  • Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
  • A master’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Citizenship: Saudi Citizen.
  • Certifications: Relevant professional certifications in environmental engineering or related fields.

Required Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in remedial investigation, design and implementation of remedial actions, as well as some project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (including Access, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Experience with soil and groundwater remedial technologies is preferred
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
