ENOWA aims to establish itself as the world’s most advanced renewable energy hub and the first large-scale fully renewable energy system. The energy sector’s primary goals include:

ENOWA plans to utilize various technologies, including large-scale solar PV, wind power, pump hydro-station, geothermal energy, and clean-fuel gas turbines – as an integrated decentralized solution to meet the increased electricity demands due to a high degree of electrification. 

The candidate will work on projects involving these technologies and various execution strategies, with construction starting in August 2024 and continuing through 2030.

Expectations

The Marine Engineer oversees all marine-related aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and environmental regulations. Responsible for optimizing marine operations to enhance efficiency and minimize environmental impact, this role involves designing and supervising marine structures, conducting feasibility studies, and integrating marine engineering plans with project teams. The Marine Engineer also monitors and mitigates environmental impacts associated with marine activities, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Approaches (Roles & Responsibilities):

  • Design and supervise marine structures and systems, ensuring they meet project specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and assessments for marine construction projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to integrate marine engineering plans and solutions.
  • Monitor and mitigate environmental impacts associated with marine activities.

Desired Outcomes/Outputs:

  • Successful design and implementation of marine engineering solutions.
  • Compliance with marine safety and environmental regulations.

Experience and Skills:

  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine engineering roles, preferably in project environments.
  • Proficiency in marine engineering design software and tools.
  • Knowledge of marine construction techniques and materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations related to marine operations.
