Compass International School Doha is a well established school set across 3 campuses in the capital city of the State of Qatar. The school has provided premium education for expat and local families since 2006. All campuses offer a British international curriculum via the International Primary Curriculum. Our two 3 through schools offer the English National Curriculum, culminating in IGCSEs, AS and A levels as well as the prestigious IBDP in Years 12 and 13. Job Purpose

 

Be accountable for raising student achievement in your classes.

Job Responsibilities

 

Learning and Teaching

  • To be an exemplary teacher, clearly demonstrating effective planning, teaching and organisation, and high standards of achievement and behaviour in Maths lessons.
  • To be responsible for the development and on-going review of the school’s Maths curriculum and related schemes of work.
  • To follow the school’s assessment, recording and reporting procedures.
  • To follow the cultural expectations of Qatar and promote national identity.
  • Be willing to share good practice within and beyond the Maths department.
  • Promote cultural entitlement through the provision of a broad range of enrichment activities during and after the school day.
  • Use the student tracking and monitoring processes to advance children’s learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school’s aspirations and priorities.
  • To take personal responsibility for professional development.
  • To communicate effectively the school’s narrative, being an ambassador for our school at all times.
