RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific Duties
Strategic Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate closing for books of accounts.
- Maintain accurate P&L and Balance sheet accounts.
- Budget control for opex and capex and submit the report on a monthly basis.
- Support Assistant Finance Manager, Group Financial Reporting with required data and analysis for HQ entities.
Functional Responsibilities
- Review PRs for HQ entities in Oracle.
- Manage day-to-day finance operations of HQ entities.
- Prepare journal entries, review with the Assistant Manager, Group Financial Reporting and post in ERP.
- Close the books of accounts as per the group timeline and post appropriate reviews with the Group Finance team.
- Prepare Budget vs. actual CAPEX for HQ entities and report on a monthly basis.
- Prepare shared services cost allocation and provide necessary details to AA/ADNOC/Charter team to incorporate the same before closing the books.
- Preparation of monthly MIS along with variance analysis for HQ entities and report to the Group Finance team.
- Preparation of monthly Hyperion reports and quarterly reports to Aldar Properties.
- Prepare Balance sheet schedules for assigned entities and ensure to maintain accurate GL balances.
- Review balance sheet accounts periodically with Asst. Finance Manager, list out key action plans with responsibility and timeline to improve the quality of GL balances.
- Support Assistant Finance Manager, Group Financial Reporting with required data and analysis for HQ entities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for HQ entities.
- Handle internal and external audit queries, provide supporting documents and resolve all audit queries within the timeline.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as and when required to support business requirements for HQ entities.
- Initiate process improvement wherever possible to achieve financial excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Minimum Experience
- 5+ Years’ experience in finance function.
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills
- Fluent English communication skills, written and oral.
- Attention to detail with diligent follow-up, and able to execute in a timely manner.
- Skilled in multi-tasking and handling pressure.
- Advanced Excel skills with proven financial modelling experience
- Proficient in accounting software.
- Ability to liaise effectively with business functions in order to collect input required for analysis.
- Ability to manage a team.
- Ability to be detail-focused when required whilst maintaining sight of the big picture.
- Deadline-oriented and take ownership of work.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and hands-on experience in MS Office presentations.
