Sales Manager – MICE

Job Summary:
As the Sales Manager you are responsible to assisting the Director of Sales in achieving the Catering & Events Budget in your Hotel by overseeing the daily sales efforts of the Catering & Events Department and maintaining the Opera system as per the standard. You will also be responsible of maintaining the high standard of communication flow within the Hotel on all Events booked by the Department.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain an active relationship with our main bookers to increase customer satisfaction and business as well as maintain a close communication with all Outbound Sales and Area Sales Offices in order to work on leads and achieving loyalty of Guests to Hotel & Resort
• Ensure your performance of IFH Mystery Calls is as per the Hotel Standard and your overall Result does not drop below 70%.
• Ensure that the overall maintenance of all meeting rooms and related equipment is checked continuously, and any fall back is reported to the Director of Sales in order to maintain the high standards of performance and Guest satisfaction.
• Ensure the communication and information flow is maintained on a daily basis by distributing Banquet Event Orders to all Departments as well as by attending daily briefings for the Catering & Events Department, Food & Beverage Operations and Kitchen Department
• Ensure that all incoming requests are handled jointly with the concerned Salesperson and as per the Hotel Standards including an active follow up on sent offers
• Satisfy the need of the clients whilst optimizing Hotel revenue through strategic yield management and up selling of hotel facilities and services.
• Supervise and assist with Banquet Operations before, during and after events and assure Guest satisfaction throughout the event.
• Actively ask for Guest feedback during and after the event and encourage the Guest to submit the Guest Satisfaction Survey
• Promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy, and an extremely high standard of social skills and live by example towards your Team Members as well as all Employees the Hotels & Resorts.
• Maintain detailed product knowledge of the property you work in, as well as general product knowledge of all major Hotels and direct competitors in your city including competition checks.
• Ensure to forward all irregularities that you encounter in your department or any other Department of your Area to the Director of Sales in order to maintaining Standards & Policies and to maximise Customer Satisfaction
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
