Job Description
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards and risks.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote awareness and engagement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Technical and Hard Skills: Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, proficiency in conducting safety audits and inspections, familiarity with incident investigation techniques.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to train and educate employees effectively, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying equipment, ability to work in various weather conditions.
